GUIDED TRIPS

Come join Idaho Angler for a day of guided fishing on some of the best water in Southwest Idaho and Eastern Oregon. Our goal is to give you an awesome and unforgettable day fly fishing, whether you are new to the sport or experienced and well-traveled. We help people enjoy fly fishing, creating memories and stories for years to come! Guided trips are not recommended for children under 12.

EXPERIENCED GUIDES

All Idaho Angler guides are Federation of Fly Fishers certified Casting Instructors and have many years of experience fishing and guiding on our home waters. We’ll share with you the secrets and techniques we have learned over our many years of fishing. You’ll leave the day with new skills to use on your future fishing adventures.

ALL-INCLUSIVE TRIPS

Idaho Angler’s guided trips are all-inclusive. We provide everything you will need to have an enjoyable and successful day on the water, including waders, boots, rods, reels, tippet and flies. Trips include both walk-and-wade or float trips, depending upon location and time of year. Lunch and non-alcoholic beverages are provided on all full-day trips. We are insured, licensed, and CPR and First-Aid certified.

TRIP PREPAREDNESS

The summer months in Boise can be quite warm, but being in the high desert, we can see thunderstorms and inclement weather year-round. The fall, winter, and spring can be cold and unpredictable, so appropriate clothing for layering is even more important during this time of year. In order to assist you with being more prepared for your day of fishing, here is a list of things you should consider having with you:

  • Hat
  • Polarized sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Insect repellent
  • Rain gear
  • Good socks (wool or Capilene, etc.)
  • Warm clothing for layering and wearing under waders (i.e. long johns, fleece pants, etc.) ***Jeans are usually not very comfortable under waders, nor do they wick moisture well.
  • Extra clothes (in case the weather changes or the need arises)

FEES AND LICENSING

The Idaho Angler requires a $100.00 deposit, per day, at the time you book your trip. In addition to the guide fee, the only other expense is a current license and any guide gratuities that you may deem appropriate. The rest is up to us! *** Please be advised that cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will forfeit the deposit (extenuating circumstances may be taken into consideration).
