The MidSpey has a medium length head between 59 ft – 65 ft. Designed for the spey caster who has mastered the basic techniques and needs a longer line that will mend more effectively, yet is short enough to load a spey rod easily. The MidSpey is available as a full floating line or with interchangeable tips and is green with a yellow “loading point”. The Interchangeable Tip line features RIO’s thin, non-hinging welded loops and includes a body section, a floating and an intermediate Tip 2 compensator, a 15 ft (4.6m) floating, a clear intermediate (1.5 ips, 4 cm/s), a DC Type 3 (3ips, 8 cm/s), a DC Type 6 (6 ips, 15 cm/s) and a DC Type 8 (8 ips, 20 cm/s) sinking tip.
