Since its beginning in 1993, the Idaho Angler
has focused on and emphasized teaching, both
to introduce novices to fly fishing and fly
tying, and to help other fly anglers hone
their skills and increase their knowledge.

The
Idaho Angler offers Beginning Fly Fishing
classes on Saturday mornings from 10am to
2pm. The class fee is $75, and covers equipment
used in fly fishing, techniques and casting.
We supply the equipment you will need for
this class. By the end of the class, you'll
have the basic knowledge and casting skills
to get started fly fishing. Our instructors
are all Federation of Fly Fishers Certified
Casting Instructors. Call us (208) 389-9957
or contact us for
the next scheduled class or for any additional
information you may need. Class size is limited,
so call today!

The
Idaho Angler offers Beginning Fly Tying classes
through the Winter and Spring seasons each
year. Our instructors have years of teaching
and tying experience, and have perfected their
techniques for teaching fly tying. The classes
are held over the course of six consecutive
evening sessions in the Idaho Angler classroom.
All tools and materials are provided, and
included in the class fee of $65.00. Upon
completion of the course, the student will
have learned the skills and techniques necessary
to tie most patterns used locally. Call us
(208) 389-9957 or contact
us for the next scheduled class or for
any additional information you may need. Class
size is limited, so call today!

Periodically
through the year the Idaho Angler offers special
clinics and seminars on such subjects as:
advanced casting techniques, spey casting,
tying steelhead flies, advanced tying techniques
and many other advanced subjects. Often we
bring in nationally recognized experts to
teach these classes, including: Jack Dennis,
Simon Gawesworth and many others. We will
post these events on our website, or you can
call us (208) 389-9957 or contact
us for the next scheduled clinic or for
any additional information you many need.
